Aquarium Products Saltwater Biozyme is a living system of beneficial bacteria in concentrated form, which is activated upon introduction to water to convert lethal ammonia and nitrite to less harmful nitrate. It quickly reduces fish wastes to inert substances and breaks down organic buildup in gravel beds. Also prevents "new tank syndrome" and reactivates aquariums damaged by medications. For saltwater aquariums only.
Instructions: For first dose, use 1/4 teaspoon for each 25 gallons of water directly into the aquarium. Every week, add 1/8 teaspoon per 25 gallons to avoid pollution and for nitrate reduction.
Size: 8 grams (Treats 500 gallons of aquarium water).

This was recommended to me by an aquarist. It does an excellent job boosting filtration and setting up biological filtration. I used this along with biospira and there was no new tank syndrome -- amazing!!
