Big Eye Squirrel, also called the Big Eye Soldier, ranges from deep red to a bright red color with white stripe accents. And of course it has a big eye. They are generally peaceful. It does not like bright light so does not do well in a reef. Being nocturnal, it needs lots of places to hide. This carnivore can grow quite large, up to 9 inches, in a tank of 40 gallons and up. Its diet consists of worms, crustaceans and serpent stars. This fish can be kept solitary, but is a schooler and prefers company. A net can be damaging to its scales, so it should be transferred in a bucket.
