The Carnation Anemone is a beautiful anemone that comes in various shades from light to deep yellow. It will grow rather quickly if given the right conditions. Be sure to allow space for extension of its tentacles if placing is a reef tank. This anemone will do well with or without a clown fish to host, but seem to adjust more quickly with a clown. Zooxanthellic algae housed in its body provide much of its nutrients, but it will eat filter feeding invert food, Mysis shrimp and microplankton. Drip acclimation is recommended for all inverts to avoid rapid changes in water chemistry. Copper based medications can be fatal for inverts.
