The Carpenter’s Wrasse is a smaller wrasse that comes from the Indo-Pacific area. It is also known as the Flasher Wrasse because of the show-off behavior that is exhibited by males when trying to impress a female. Its vibrant orange and blue color as a juvenile will change to yellow and blue as the fish matures. Like other wrasses, this one may jump, so a lid is strongly recommended. This fish is an excellent community fish. The Carpenter will accept most frozen prepared carnivore foods, chopped seafood, and frozen mysis.
