Cobalt Prexo Pond Filter with UV
The Cobalt Prexo Pond Filter with UV is a complete water filter solution for your ponds. It comes complete with filter media, hose barb fittings, and accessories to add to your pond system. The Prexo UV models enhance long-term water clarity by destroying free-floating green algae and bacteria that causes the water to go green and cloudy. Equipped with Backwash System Valve, it reverses the flow inside the filter, which quickly cleans the filter media and flushes debris and waste out through a separate hose. State-of-the-art polymer technology incorporated into the lid makes the filter UV and shock-resistant. Now keep the water in your pond clean and crystal clear all year round.

Operating Instruction:
Place the filter so that it can't end up in the water, not even accidentally, and so that the area where it is placed is not subject to flooding or overflow. The filter must not be immersed in water. Prexo is easy to conceal as it can be partially buried next to the pond. Be sure to properly fit the gaskets on the connectors. You have to connect a pump to the "IN" inlet in order for the filter to operate. Connect a pipe to the "OUT" outlet to carry the filtered water to the pond. Put the knob found on the top of the filter in the WORK position.
Maintenance:
Prexo is equipped with the "Backwash" (reversed water flow) system, which quickly cleans the filter without having to open and disassemble it.
Preliminary "Backwash" system operations: Switch off the pump. Unscrew the cap on the "DIRTY" outlet, located on top of the filter. Fit the third connector supplied in its place. Connect a pipe to the "DIRTY" outlet to carry the wash water of the filter wherever you want. You can activate the "Backwash" system while the filter is in operation by turning the knob on top of the filter to the "CLEAN" position. After cleaning the filter, put the knob back in the "WORK" position.
Put the cap back on the "DIRTY" outlet if you don't use the "Backwash" system for a long period of time. To clean more thoroughly, you have to remove the various filter materials from the filter and wash them under running water. Do not use chemical detergents. To open the filter, loosen the hooks and lift the cover. After cleaning close the filter, making sure you position the cover correctly.
Safety Instructions:
To gain access to the device that emits UVC rays, it is necessary to remove the screw using a suitable screwdriver. Replace the device and make sure that the screw is tightened as before. Remove the knob and remove the lamp socket by pulling it upwards. Replace the lamp and put the lamp socket back in place vertically. Put the knob and screw back in their original places. This operation is extremely important for the safety of persons who might otherwise gain easy access to the device or UVC rays.
