The ESU Actinic Compact Lamp is 100% actinic 03 blue lamp and peaks at 420 nanometers. It is ideal for freshwater, saltwater or reef aquariums. It stimulates dusk and dawn environment and enhances the vibrant colors of fish and invertebrates. Perhaps most importantly, the blue light emitted from the actinic bulb, which most readily penetrates the water and reaches to the deepest part of any tank, is beneficial to aquatic life and allows for natural biological reactions to occur.
