Coralife Deep Six Aquarium Hydrometer
The Coralife Deep Six Aquarium Hydrometer offers improved calibration for accurate results. This hydrometer tests both salinity and specific gravity accurately without your hands getting wet. The top fill design takes water samples six inches below the surface where samples are more accurate than water at the surface.
Features:
· Gently diverts water to reduce excess bubbles that can result in inaccurate, high readings
· Wide range hydrometer
· Reads temperature-corrected readings accurate to ±0.001 specific gravity units
· Certified calibration for precise and reliable results
· Durable plastic construction for years of use
· Temperature-corrected readings from 68° and 85°F
· Easy-read swing-arm hydrometer measures specific gravity and salinity
· Temperature-corrected and accurate to ±0.001 specific gravity units

Technical Specifications:
Dimensions: 5.5" L x 1.3/8" W x 8.5" H
Master carton weight: 7 pound
Installation:
· Submerge hydrometer approximately 6" below water surface until water reaches the fill line
· Remove hydrometer and place on a level surface
· Air bubbles adhering to the pointer will result in inaccurate, high readings so gently tap hydrometer to dislodge any air bubbles
· Read specific gravity on inside scale and salinity in part per thousand (ppt) on outside scale
· Rinse with fresh water after every use
· Before using for the first time, fill the hydrometer with saltwater and allow it to sit for 24-hours to season the needle
· Salt and calcium deposits that accumulate on the pointer will result in incorrect readings
· If crystallization occurs inside the unit, soak in lukewarm water or vinegar for 30-minutes, rinse with fresh water and let air dry
