Fish Supplies

The Dwarf Fuzzy Lion is a member of the Scorpaenidae family. This fancy looking fish comes from the Indo-Pacific region. All Lion Fish are very impressive with their display of defense spines. The Dwarf Fuzzy Lion's compact size enables a hobbyist to own one without the large space demanded by the larger Volitan Lion. Generally, Lion Fish are peaceful, but will eat any fish that fits into their mouth. Dwarf Lions have much smaller mouths, therefore target smaller prey. Large aquarium owners may opt for the smaller lion to keep tank mates safer. The fish will use his defense spines if provoked, resulting in a bee-like sting for the recipient. Lions are very shy but will learn and react to their owner after adjusting. Feeder fish are excellent for its first few meals in a new tank; live shrimp, live fish and crustacean meats work well for a regular diet.
