The Green Mandarin Goby from the Indo-Pacific is perhaps one of the most beautifully marked fish in the world. Its orange, blue, and green colors are delicately outlined all over its body like a work of art. This fish is very popular because of its beauty, temperament and low cost. It does require extra care to ensure survival but is worth the effort. Mandarins do best in reefs with lots of live rock to ensure a plentiful supply of live copepods for them to eat. Vitamin enriched live brine shrimp, and black-worms may be offered to supplement. Restocking depleted pod populations is also a good idea.
