The handy Hydor ETH Submersible Heater is an external heater for marine and tropical aquariums. The heater is  suitable for all canister filters with 5/8 flexible hosing. This heater is also equipped with an ETH with a switch that shuts the unit off before overheating. This allows for the heater to run dry for short periods of time without fear of damage. the Hydor ETH Submersible Heater is reliable and simple to use and is extremely accurate. This unit is meant for aquariums between 53-80 gallons
