This Kent Deionization Silica Removal Resin Cartridge is designed to give high quality water production. The solid carbon block pre-filter removes up to 2ppm chlorine for 3,750 gallons of water. The resin in the cartridge provides similar results as per the reverse osmosis membrane. It attracts the positively and the negatively charged impurities and deposits them in itself rather than filtering it out. The mixed bed resins present in the KENT Marine Deion units and Maxxima 3 canister systems provide a final DI (Deionization) filter step, giving you pure water.
