I have my Eclipse tank for 5 years by now, it functions good, my zebra fish like it, some are 3-4 years old, however, I have a big problem with the actilic walls! The water makes the walls opaque, and no matter how I try, they are permanently stained! I even called the manufacturer, but they were clueless, too! It is such an eye sore by now, that I feel forced to throw it out, -although it is still fully functional, just because I can barely see the fish in the tank any more! I would not by this or any acrilic tanks any more, which is a shame!...

I PURCHASED THE 5 GALLON HEX (THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST DEAL I HAVE SEEN AND INCLUDES FREE SHIPPING)! SO FAR, THE AQUARIUM LOOKS GREAT. THE ONLY THING I DO NOT LIKE IS THE LIGHT (BULB) THAT COMES WITH THE AQUARIUM. IT MAKES THE TANK (WATER) LOOK BROWN. MY BETTA LOVES HIS NEW AQUARIUM!

I PURCHASED THE 3 GALLON ON SALE FOR A DAYCARE I WORK AT ( THIS WEBSITE WAS THE BEST DEAL I COULD FIND) AND IT CAME WITH FREE SHIPPING. THE KIDS REALLY LOVE LOOKING AT THE FISH AND THE WATER STAYS CLEAN FOR A LONG TIME. JUST NEED TO DO A FILTER & WATER CHANGE ONCE A MONTH. THIS TANK IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. MAY PURCHASE ANOTHER FOR MY HOME!

I bought the 3g for my Betta a cuple of years ago and it was one of the best tanks I have ever had besides my Marineland Eclipse 29g tall tank. The only bad thing about this tank is the high output filter that is to strong for most Bettas and the only fish that can go in a 3g tank is a Betta.

The filter on this aquarium quit after 8 months. There is a very small door in the lid, supposedly for feeding the fish. No way I could feed the betta through that opening, too small! I have to pick up the lid and practically take off the lid just to feed the fish!! Cleaning the aquarium was so difficult because of the bar across the top which holds the filter. It's not deep enough to use a gravel vacuum; even if it were, there is not enough room to clean it while the fish is still in it. This is a really poorly designed aquarium. I am replacing it with another manufacturer's.

This tank is great for a single fish, but as mentioned earlier the only real problem is that the filter is a bit too powerful for many or one small fish. If I leave the filter on, I have to turn it off after about half an hour or Ill exhaust my fish.

I have two Eclipse System Six. The first one lasted a long time six years. The second one, however, is just the opposite. The starter for the fluorescent light stopped working within 10 days.

This tank seems to do well. The only problum is that
small tanks cant have powerful filters. On the bright side there is less to clean.

I grew up having sevral fish tanks in the house. Classic tanks tended to have noisy airpumps, and seals you have to keep watching for leakage. You also need extra space for bulky filters. Because of these irritations I stoped keeping goldfish.
This System Six changed all that! The only sound youll hear is a very faint, soothing burble of watter as the Bio wheel spins. NO moter noises at all!!! With the watter splashing down from being filtered there is no need for a bubble stone or air pump. The seamless acrylic tank is beautiful and with the light and filter hidden under the hood very easy to care for. I was worried the filter system might be built into the hood and if one thing broke Id have to replace the entire hood... but the filter system comes appart easily for easy part replacements. Very versital design, all I have to do is vacume the gravel every week, and with the small take size I only need one buket.. no giant messy sloshing clean up.
The beauty of this tank is you have a blank palet to design what ever aquatic view you want. I particulary like how, since the tank is seamless, there is no plastic rim at the bottome. You can clearly see the gravel and any decorations.
Ive had my System Six for a few months, and I LOVE it! Perfect for people who want fish but dont have much room or time for messy cleaning.
